7月30日 The Hottest Day in the History of SeattleToday was the hottest day ever in Seattle. 103 was the official temperature recorded at the airport, beating the previous 100-degree high reported in 1994 and 1941. I work in a building with aircon and our house has aircon as well, so I didn’t fret the heat as some did. Having lived in Sacramento for a while I know what hot feels like, and 100+ temperatures are pretty normal there, they count the number of consecutive days where the temperature is over 100. In Seattle, the situation is quite different. I got to play a fun game in the car on the way home yesterday. I left work at 5:15 or so, so I got to drive (wait it out in Seattle traffic) during the hottest part of the day. The game was… how far will the temperature gauge go? It was still 90+ degrees at 10pm. It felt good for a while, I must say. I miss the Chico / Sacramento summers where the sun blazes through the day. I’m glad I don’t get it (and the accompanying allergies) for 60+ days a year, but I do miss it. We’ve been blessed with 70+ days of rain-free weather in Seattle this summer. If you’re complaining about the weather in Seattle, please just shut up and enjoy it. :) Said traffic, pictured: 引用通告此日志的引用通告 URL 是: http://graysonknowlton.spaces.live.com/blog/cns!DC75F3498FC0726D!2014.trak 引用此项的网络日志
